ABC RadioGarth Brooks has announced the second date of his Dive Bar Tour.
The country superstar will perform at Buck Owens‘ legendary Crystal Palace in Bakersfield, CA on August 15. Garth made the announcement during Monday night’s episode of his Facebook Live show Inside Studio G.
The Crystal Palace is special to Garth for many reasons, not in the least because that’s where he and wife Trisha Yearwood got engaged in May 2005. “Bakersfield’s been very, very good to me,” Garth says, adding, “There’s so much at home in a honky tonk, so this is going to be fun.”
Garth also revealed during Inside Studio G that he’ll be bringing the red, white and blue Telecaster guitar that Buck gave him after he and Trisha got engaged to the show, and hinted at doing a cover of one of Buck’s songs.
Fans can only receive tickets to the Dive Bar shows through radio stations in the cities in which he’s performing.
The Dive Bar Tour — a promotion for Garth’s joint single with Blake Shelton, “Dive Bar” — kicked off on July 15 at Joe’s on Weed Street in Chicago and will visit a total of seven cities throughout the summer.
