Area still way ahead on rainfall through July

After a near normal July rainfall total, the Twin Lakes Area continues to be way ahead for the year to date. The area begins the month of August over 17 inches above normal and just over 1 and a half inches away from reaching our annual average.

So far in 2019, 43.63 inches of rain have been recorded at the KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot studios, the official reporting station in Mountain Home for the National Weather Service. Average rainfall through July is 25.92 inches, meaning we are 17.71 inches above normal for the year to date.

The annual average rainfall in Mountain Home is 45.23 inches, meaning we are only 1.6 inches away from reaching that mark with five months left in the year.

In July, 2.37 inches of rain fell in Mountain Home, which is just shy of the monthly average of 2.73 inches. The heaviest rainfall was 52 hundredths of an inch July 16.

The warmest temperature in July was 94 degrees on the 18th and 19th. The coolest temperature was 62 degrees the 24th, 25th and 26th.
