MHHS football team begins fall practice Monday

As one Mountain Home High School athletic program begins its season, another ramps up its preparations for the fall. Monday will mark the start of fall practice for the Bombers’ football program.

Mountain Home is getting ready for its third season under the direction of head coach Bryan Mattox, and he the team has had a good summer with good attendance.

Mattox is estimating nearly 55 student athletes on his roster to begin practice. He says he would like to see his team continue to progress on both sides of the ball.

For this week’s schedule, practice times will vary depending on what the coaching staff has to do in their duties as teachers.

Bomberfest is scheduled for Aug. 16 on the Mountain Home High School campus. The Bombers will host Highland for a benefit scrimmage six days later, and the season will get underway Aug. 30 when Mountain Home meets Sheridan on the campus of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville.
