Oxmoor HouseMartina McBride will be showing off her culinary chops at this year’s Music City Food + Wine festival in Nashville this fall.

The “Independence Day” icon will team up with celebrity chef Tyler Florence for a joint cooking demo, and sign copies of her latest book, Martina’s Kitchen Mix: My Recipe Playlist for Real Life as well.

“I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to take part in the Music City Food + Wine Festival,” Martina says. “Like music, cooking is my love language and I’m so excited to be able to share that with my home town in September.”

“Nashville is now a major player in the food scene,” she adds, “and this festival has become such a great way to highlight all the amazing culinary experiences we have to offer.”

This will be the seventh year for the festival, which was founded by Music-City-based rockers Kings of Leon. This year, it takes place in Bicentennial Capitol Mall State Park and Walk of Fame Park September 20-22.

New Nashvillian Kathie Lee Gifford will be a part of this year’s gathering as well, hosting an interactive tasting of her line of wines and emceeing the Friday Night Throwdown between chefs Carla Hall and Tim Love.
