ABC/Richard CartwrightAmerica’s the Land of Opportunity, as the old saying goes.  Now thanks to Jimmy Kimmel and Brad Paisley, it’s also in a new song.

The host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! invited Paisley on his show Tuesday night to sing about the various opportunities available in America to a new group of naturalized citizens.

Kimmel noted that he wanted to make the process of becoming a U.S. citizen, “more exciting than a trip to the DMV.” So he first welcomed Dave Joseph, the public address announcer for the Los Angeles Kings. Joseph gave a “starting lineup-like” introduction to six new American citizens. Then, Kimmel brought Paisley out to perform a song about their new home.

“You can dress your dog like Lady Gaga, make him his own Instagram,” the three-time Grammy Award winner sang. “Go to Drybar, get a blowout — marry a Kardashian.”

Paisley’s parody track covered everything from freedom of speech to reality shows before he transitioned into “America (My Country ‘Tis of Thee).” A bald eagle mascot — Guillermo in costume, actually — waved an American flag while streamers were fired off to much applause.

Kimmel wrapped the segment by thanking Paisley and congratulating the new American citizens.
