The drivers of both vehicles involved in a collision Wednesday morning on U.S.Highway 62B in Mountain Home escaped serious injury, despite one car rolling on its side.

According to a report from the Mountain Home Police Department, the accident occurred when a vehicle driven by 76-year-old Carolyn Vincent of Mountain Home was attempting to pull from West Wade Street onto the highway.

Vincent pulled into the front of a vehicle driven by 62-year-old Margaret Schedfdore of Mountain Home, striking it in the side causing it to spin sideways and run up on the curb.

The curb caused Schedfdore’s vehicle to contunue off the roadway at an angle striking a third parked vehicle owned by Payton Elledge of Dolph.

The impact with the parked vehicle caused heavy damage and sent Schedfdore’s vehicle rolling onto the passenger’s side.

Schedfdore was transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center for a possible injury.

The report notes Vincent will be found at fault for failure to yield in the 7:57 a.m. accident.
