The Gainesville R-V School District has announced a new partnership in conjunction with the Springfield Cardinals to benefit its baseball and softball teams. The minor league baseball team will host the inaugural Gainesville Community Night at Hammons Field August 29 starting at 7:10 when the Cardinals take on the Frisco RoughRiders.
The cost is $15 for one admission ticket, a Springfield Cardinals baseball cap and a t-shirt with “Gainesville” in red letters and two birds on a bat. T-shirts must be ordered by Monday. In addition, the Gainesville Choir will perform “America the Beautiful.”
