Wildlife expo set for Saturday

For those still looking for a weekend activity, Gregg’s Wildlife Expo is set for Saturday from 9 until 3 at the Baxter County Fairgrounds.The wildlife expo brings together area residents who pursue outdoor activities with many area businesses. The event is free to the public and includes vendor booths, concessions, engaging exhibits and prize drawings.
Among the highlights will be brief speaking presentations from 11:30 until 12:30. Most notably, A.J. Riggs, wildlife biologist, and Ben Field, private land biologist, will give brief presentations sharing information about chronic wasting disease (CWD), new hunting regulations and opportunities for private land owners.There will also be presentations from Master Naturalists Daniel Foster and Ray Stovall. Foster will share information about Stream Team and aquatic life, while Stovall will talk about backwood trails.
Other activities will include a Nerf gun sharpshooter gallery, fishing pond with 2,400 pounds of trout, snakes alive from 10 until 1, a sawdust dig and laser range.For more information, go to Gregg Farm Services Wildlife Expo
