An early Sunday morning two-vehicle accident north of West Plains resulted in the deaths of two Howell County residents and serious injuries to another. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 17-year-old Cailey Stowers of West Plains was pronounced dead at the scene, 21-year-old Vladik Nadtochayev of West Plains died at Ozarks Medical Center, and 19-year-old Viktor Vyrovchtchikov of Willow Springs is a patient in the West Plains hospital.
Stowers was traveling on U.S. Highway 63 when her vehicle struck another vehicle head-on. The second vehicle was driven by Nadtocheyev, and Vyrochtchikov was his passenger.
Both vehicles were totaled in the 12:16 a.m. accident.
