Fire at Gassville apartment complex results in injuries to tenant

A fire at an apartment complex in Gassville has resulted in injuries to one of its tenants. The tenant, whose name was not released, was transported to Baxter Regional Medical Center early Tuesday morning from the scene on Gassville Gardens Loop.

The Gassville Fire Department was dispatched to the apartment building at 2:18. After the fire was knocked down, it was determined three apartment units sustained extensive damage, two had moderate smoke and water damage, and three others sustained minor smoke damage. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The Gassville Fire Department was assisted by the Cotter/Gassville Rural Fire Protection District and the Cotter and Mountain Home fire departments, and the Flippin Fire Department was also on stand-by duty. No fire service injuries were reported, and all units were back in service at 6:40.
