A Fulton County fire chief, 37-year-old Joseph Samples, has been arrested and charged with allegedly taking funds from his department to purchase a motorcycle for his personal use.
According to the probable cause affidavit, the Morriston Fire Department chief took a department check without prior approval and purchased the motorcycle.
He allegedly admitted to making the transaction and that he had taken other property from the department, located in Salem.
He has been charged with a felony count of theft of property, with a cash bond of $5,000.
