2019's Grammy Salute To Music Legends, honoring Dionne Warwick, Ashford & Simpson, Julio Iglesias & more, to air in October

iStock/Terminator3DThe 2019 edition of the Grammy Salute to Music Legends event, celebrating the Recording Academy’s 2019 Special Merit Awards winners, will air this fall. 

Taped back in May at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, the gala features performances by and tributes to the 2019 recipients of the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. It’ll air on PBS as an episode of the network’s Great Performances series October 18  at 9:00 p.m.

The 2019 Lifetime Achievement Award honorees include Black Sabbath, George Clinton & Parliament-FunkadelicSam & DaveDionne WarwickAshford & Simpson, and Julio Iglesias, among others.

The show, hosted by Sheila E, features guest artists like country superstar Garth Brooks, rapper Snoop Dogg, R&B star Kenny Lattimore and Johnny Mathis either with, or in tribute to, the honorees.
