Sheridan was able to convert a pair of second half turnovers into touchdowns to pull away for a 33-7 win over the Bombers after the teams were separated by just seven points at the half.

The Yellowjackets scored touchdowns on their first two possessions of the game, both on runs by Trace Watkins, to jump out to a quick 14-0 lead.

Mountain Home would cut that lead to 14-7 when the defense got them on the board. Tatem Beshears stripped the ball from Sheridan’s running back Peyton Edmonds and took it 60 yards for a touchdown.

But in the second half, things changed in a hurry. Sheridan went up 21-7 with a touchdown on their first possession. Mountain Home would then lost a fumble and threw an interception, both of which Sheridan turned into points.

The Bombers start the year 0-1 and will host Harrison next week.
