Nick McCabeCreedence Clearwater Revisited, the spinoff group led by founding Creedence Clearwater Revival bassist Stu Cook and drummer Doug “Cosmo” Clifford, is planning to retire from touring in the coming months, but the band still has 11 confirmed North American shows on its itinerary.

One of those dates is a benefit called Concert for a Cause, taking place September 25 at the Belly Up Tavern in Solana Beach, California.

The event will raise funds for the music-equipment trade organization NAMM’s Museum of Making Music and Friends of Pasqual Academy. The museum offers music education programs and tours to schoolchildren, while friends of Pasqual Academy helps fund a residential and educational facility for foster teens.

Speaking about the focus of the two charities, Cook notes that they “work with young people and try and get them…back involved with a positive path through [making and] learning music.”

Cook explains that Creedence Revisited is working with the charities “to raise awareness and money for future activities and more good work.”

As for the type of show the band plans to put on, Stu says, “It’s gonna be a regular performance on our end. It’s all Creedence all night.” (AUDIO IS ABC 1-ON-1)
