Now, a new trek saluting the historic 1976 show has been scheduled for November — with Haynes and some of the same artists from the 2017 tour on board.

The Last Waltz Tour 2019: A Celebration of The Band’s Historic Farewell Concert will kick off November 5 in Port Chester, New York, and will visit 11 other cities, wrapping up November 21 in Chicago.

The trek is being presented in association with founding Band guitarist and songwriter Robbie Robertson, his son Sebastian and concert promoters Blackbird Presents.

Among the musicians joining Haynes: acclaimed producer/bassist Don Was, The Neville BrothersCyril Neville, country artist Jamey Johnson, The RadiatorsDave Malone, longtime Muddy Waters guitarist Bo Margolin, Dirty Dozen Brass Band drummer Terence Higgins and avant-jazz keyboardist John Medeski.

“It is such an honor that the musical celebration of The Last Waltz and The Band carries on today,” Robertson says. “Blackbird Presents and this extraordinary lineup of talent makes me proud to be a part of this ongoing and wonderful tradition.”

Blackbird Presents founder Keith Wortman adds, “This year’s tour will introduce fans to some very special never-heard-before arrangements of the classic hits from that Thanksgiving night in 1976.”

Tickets for nearly all of the concerts will go on sale to the general public this Friday, September 6, at 10 a.m. local time at TheLastWaltz.com.
