Genesis PublicationsLed Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page will release a new limited-edition coffee-table book this December called Jimmy Page: The Anthology.  It offers a detailed look at the rock legend’s musical career through photos and artifacts from his private collection, as well as his own words.

The book, which is a follow-up to 2010’s Jimmy Page by Jimmy Page, will feature rare photos from throughout Page’s life, pics of his guitars and stage costumes, personal letters and diary entries, and images of memorabilia like posters and vinyl discs.

In addition, Jimmy has provided new commentary about the various images included in The Anthology.

“In this book, I wanted to include items from my personal archive that have played a part in my overall story, to give the detail behind the detail,” Page says in a statement.

Only 2,500 copies of the publication will be available, each one hand-numbered and signed by Jimmy. The book is bound in black leather and is packaged in a felt-lined slipcase made to resemble the case that housed his first electric guitar, a 1958 Resonet Futurama.

Jimmy Page: The Anthology follows Page from listening to blues records with his childhood pal Jeff Beck and playing on TV as a teenager with his skiffle band, to his impressive work in the 1960s as a session musician and his stint with The Yardbirds, to his career with Led Zeppelin and his later work with such projects as The Firm, Coverdale & Page and Page & Plant.

Jimmy Page: The Anthology is available for pre-order now at the special price of 395 pounds, or about $482. For more information about the book, visit Genesis-Publications.com.
