In conjunction with Motown’s ongoing 60th anniversary celebrations, a new vinyl reissue series featuring mono versions of five classic albums by some of the label’s most popular acts will be released on November 8 in a limited-edition set.

The five albums included in the  Motown in Mono series collection are The Miracles‘ 1963 LP You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me, The Temptations‘ 1965 record The Temptations Sing Smokey, The Four Tops‘ 1967 album Reach Out, The Marvelettes‘ 1968 release Sophisticated Soul, and Diana Ross & The Supremes‘ 1968 album, Reflections.

The five-LP set is available for pre-order now exclusively via The Sound of Vinyl’s online store. All of the LPs have been remastered and are pressed on 180-gram vinyl. The collection comes packaged with a custom turntable slipmat.

Sophisticated Soul has never been commercially issued in mono, while Reflections was released in mono only in the U.K. The mono versions of the other three albums are long out of print.

The You’ve Really Got a Hold on Me album also was known as The Fabulous Miracles and featured the classic title track, which reached #8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The Temptations Sing Smokey feature songs written or co-written by Smokey Robinson, among them the band’s chart-topping hit, “My Girl. Robinson also produced the album.

Reach Out was The Four Tops’ highest-charting album on the Billboard 200, peaking at #11. It featured three top-10 hits — the #1 smash “Reach Out, I’ll Be There,” “Standing in the Shadows of Love,” and “Bernadette.”

Sophisticated Soul featured the top-20 single “My Baby Must Be a Magician.”

Reflections reached #18 in the Billboard 200, and included two top-10 singles — the #2 title track and the #9 “In and Out of Love.”
