As has become tradition, Bruce Springsteen will take part in the 2019 edition of the annual Stand Up for Heroes benefit event, which supports the Bob Woodruff Foundation’s efforts to help wounded service members, veterans and their families. This year’s show, the 13th annual installment of the fundraiser, will take place November 4 at The Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Stand Up for Heroes benefit offers an evening of music and comedy, held in conjunction with the annual New York Comedy Festival. In addition to Springsteen, the event’s confirmed lineup includes Jon Stewart and John Oliver, with a number of surprise guests expected to participate.
Tickets priced from $500 to $5,000 are available now at Classy.org. Ticketmaster.com will sell tickets for under $500 starting Tuesday, September 10, at 12 p.m. ET. Military personnel, veterans and first responders will be able to purchase discounted tickets beginning that same day at GOVX.com.
The Boss usually plays a short acoustic set at the benefit. Springsteen, who recently released a new studio album titled Western Stars, hasn’t played an official concert since his final Springsteen on Broadway performance last December.
As previously reported, Springsteen’s new concert film, also called Western Stars, gets its world premiere this Thursday, September 12, at the Toronto International Film Festival. It features Bruce performing the entire album in front of an intimate audience at a 100-year-old barn he owns.
