AXS TV paying tribute to late Eddie Money with marathon programming block on Sunday

Stewart Volland/AXS TVIn the wake of Eddie Money‘s death today from cancer, the AXS TV channel, the home of his Real Money reality series, has announced plans to air a special programming block this Sunday, September 15, in honor of the late singer.

The marathon will begin at 8:30 a.m. ET with an encore airing of Eddie’s 2018 appearance on AXS TV’s The Big Interview with Dan Rather. That will be followed at 9:30 a.m. by the Eddie Money: The Real Money Concert special, which captures a May 2018 performance the rocker gave in the Detroit area.

Then, starting at 10:30 a.m., every episode of Real Money that already has aired will be shown. An additional screening of The Real Money Concert will finish off the tribute at 7 p.m. ET.

AXS TV also announced that the last five episodes of Real Money will air weekly on Thursdays at 9:30 p.m. ET/6:30 p.m. PT, starting next week.

AXS TV founder Mark Cuban says of Money’s passing, “We are deeply saddened that we have lost the incomparable Eddie Money. Eddie was a true American original and a rock legend through and through. His enduring hits have been the soundtrack for generations of fans, and his one-of-a-kind sense of humor endeared him instantly to everyone he met.”

He adds, “We have sincerely enjoyed working with him and his entire talented family on his reality show Real Money, and we extend our deepest condolences to his wife, Laurie; their children Zach, Jesse, Joe, Dez and Julian; and his many friends during this difficult time.”
