MHJH wins highlight Monday volleyball results

It was a busy Monday on the local volleyball scene.

The Mountain Home Junior High teams won a pair of matches at home against Jonesboro MacArthur.

Mountain Home won the varsity match by scores of 25-21 and 25-15. Cate Jackson had 13 digs, Ema Wilber had 11 kills, Lauren Wehmeyer finished with seven digs and six kills and Carson Schmitz had 19 assists and served two aces.

The Junior Lady Bombers improve to 6-3 overall and 3-2 in conference play.

In the junior high J.V. match, Mountain Home defeated MacArthur by scores of 13-25, 27-25 and 15-11.

Lily Hinson had 10 digs, Andrea Green and Monica Chafin each had three kills and Kylie Horne served five aces.

The J.V. team improves to 6-3 on the season.

The Mountain Home Christian Academy had mixed results in Springfield against Lighthouse Academy.

Lighthouse won the varsity match by scores of 26-24 and 26-24.

Mountain Home Christian Academy won the 14U match by scores of 25-19 an 25-17.

In other high school volleyball Monday night, Cotter was a 3-0 winner over Green Forest, handing the Lady Tigers their first loss of the season. Cotter improves to 5-2.

Yellville-Summit defeated Eureka Springs 3-0. The Lady Panthers improve to 2-6.

Salem lost to Cedar Ridge 3-0. The Lady Greyhounds fall to 1-8.
