Glazer’s team wins Twin Lakes Home Builders Scholarship Golf Tournament

The annual Twin Lakes Home Builders Scholarship Golf Tournament was held Friday at Big Creek Golf and Country Club.

Andrew Gillespie, Andy Wescoat and Rick Lange represented Glazer’s, as the winners of the Championship Flight, after they finished with a 14-under-par 58. Nathan Criss, Willie Jerrett and Matt Jackson for Centennial Bank took the tiebreaker for second place over Wes Wood, Isaac Gaston and Brad Heinsohn for Wes Wood at Peglar Real Estate. Both teams finished one stroke off the lead.

The A Flight was captured by Terry Harris, Ronny Richmond and Calvin Meredith for the Bank of Salem, with an eight-under-par 64. Doug Keeter, Guy Swan and Randy Lunceford for Ozark Mountain Electric ended up one stroke back, and Mike Willard, Zack Lashley and Jacob Bruggeman for Arvest Bank were at six-under-par 66 to take third place.

Five teams ended up with a two-under-par 70 in the B Flight. After the tiebreaker, Tony Squire, Kalinn Davis and Stacy Freeman represented North Arkansas Electric Cooperative as the winners. Scott Sellers, Sean Combs and Scott Estes for FNBC finished second. They were unable to break the tie for third place between Ed McGill, Terry Small and an unlisted teammate for ASC Warranty and Matt Martin, Brian Goodwin and Billy Smart for Central Heating and Cooling. Jerry Jones, Camron Hames and Jeff McDonald for First Community Bank ended up fifth.

The winners of each flight left Big Creek with $100. Fifty dollars went to each second place team, and third place was awarded $25.
