MH girls’ golf team wins 3rd straight conference title, boys finish 3rd

The Mountain Home High School golf teams took part in the 5A-East Conference Tournament Tuesday at Sage Meadows Country Club in Paragould, and the Lady Bombers came away with their third straight title. Mountain Home’s team total was 264 beating out Greene County Tech by nine strokes. Jonesboro ended up in third place.

Sydney Czanstskowski was the Lady Bombers’ top golfer as she finished one stroke off the lead with a 72. Madison Holmes of Paragould was the medalist with a 71.

Mountain Home’s boys ended up in third place with a total of 332. Jonesboro won the title at 291, and Searcy was second at 326.

Rip Finley led the Bombers with a 73. The medalist was Simon McBride of Paragould as he shot a 67.

Both Mountain Home teams will compete in the Class 5A State Tournament. The Lady Bombers will play next Tuesday at Paragould Country Club with Greene County Tech as the host school. The boys will compete Oct. 7 at Glenwood Country Club with Lake Hamilton as the designated host.
