Mountain Home Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Jake Long will host his next walk-in Wednesday this week with dress code and school calendars as the main topics. The event will run from 7:30 until noon at the district’s administration building.

Long will be available throughout the morning to discuss the district’s current dress code which he says has been a “hot topic among students, parents and on social media.” Long says he would like the community’s input on the dress code and that input will be used to create a community-wide dress code survey. Long says the school system is “teaching students how to be college and career ready” and he thinks it’s important to find out what people think is important in relation to a dress code.

Long says he is also interested in hearing feedback concerning options for the school calendar for the future.

Again, the walk-in Wednesday event runs from 7:30 until noon. The district’s administration building is located at 2465 Rodeo Drive in Mountain Home. For more information, call 870-425-1201.
