In 1989, Janet, sister Rebbie and brother Michael appeared with the brothers on the song “2300 Jackson Street,” the title track from The Jacksons’ album of the same name.  But Tito Jackson tells ABC Audio that the group would like to do something additional with their baby sister.

“It’s something that we are looking at, you know, hopefully, we can put it together,” says Tito. “As a matter of fact, we had a plan of getting together with Michael after the O2 Arena shows and we were hoping to put together a family project.”

Tito says that project — which would have taken place after Michael’s planned 2009 residency at London’s O2 Arena — would have consisted of “the family doing their thing.”

“Janet does her thing, The Jacksons do their thing,” he explains. “Jermaine and Michael…then we all come together — do something together. A family show.”

Unfortunately, Michael passed away before the O2 shows began, and, Tito says, the project “never materialized.”

“But,” he adds, “it’s never too late.”

Currently, though, Tito’s busy with his new solo single “One Way Street.”  In a statement, he says, “Introducing ‘One Way Street’ at this time in my career is an ideal platform for me to share my solo project with our loyal fans, and hopefully gain new ones along the way.”

As for Janet, her Las Vegas residency, Metamorphosis, grossed $13 million, and next month, she’s headed to Australia for a series of shows celebrating the 30th anniversary of Rhythm Nation 1814.
