The Arkansas State football team was dealt a huge blow Wednesday, when it was revealed starting quarterback Logan Bonner will miss the rest of the season with a torn thumb ligament in his throwing hand. Bonner made the announcement on social media.

Through the first four games of the season, Bonner leads the Sun Belt Conference in passing yards. He has thrown 10 touchdown passes with just one interception.

Layne Hatcher, who originally committed to Arkansas State from Pulaski Academy High School and then switched and went to Alabama before returning to ASU, will get the start for the Redwolves Saturday against Troy.
