© Apple Corps Ltd.A new official video for the George Harrison-penned Beatles tune “Here Comes the Sun” premiered today on the band’s official YouTube channel.  It coincides with today’s 50th anniversary of the release of the Fab Four’s classic album Abbey Road.

The “Here Comes the Sun” clip was created using the new stereo mix of the song, which is featured on the Abbey Road 50th anniversary reissues being released Friday, September 27.

Much of the video was shot at Abbey Road Studios’ famed Studio Two, where most of the album was recorded; it depicts a variety of vintage photos of the band members rising above The Beatles’ instruments to form a glowing sun.

The clip also incorporates rare footage of a famous Beatles photo shoot, outtakes from the famous series of pics that yielded the Abbey Road cover, and a sheet of handwritten lyrics to “Here Comes the Sun,” featuring an exotic drawing brought to life via animation.

The new “Here Comes the Sun” video also is available on the YouTube channels of The Beatles’ four members: Harrison, John Lennon, Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr.

As previously reported, the Abbey Road reissue will be available in multiple formats and configurations, including a Super Deluxe box set featuring the 2019 remix of the album on CD; two CDs of outtakes and demos and a Blu-ray disc boasting various high-def mixes of the record.

The box set also comes with a 100-page hardbound book with a foreword written by McCartney.
