The Baxter County Quorum Court is facing an eight-item agenda when it meets in regular session at 6 Tuesday evening.

Four of the eight items are resolutions confirming re-appointments to rural fire departments.

The quorum court will also consider the third and final reading of an ordinance that would cease billing and collecting fees from municipalities in Baxter County for the housing of prisoners.

The proposed ordinance notes voters passed a one-quarter percent sales tax in September 2017 for the operation of the county jail, including a provision to pay for the costs associated with the housing of prisoners.

An ordinance adopting revisions and additions to the county’s personnel policy manual adopted in February will be placed on its second reading.

Two other financial housekeeping items are also on the agenda.

The meeting will be held in the second floor courtroom of the Baxter County Courthouse.
