A Cotter man jailed 56 times in the Baxter County Detention Center was placed in the Marion County Law Enforcement Center on Sunday for an alleged stabbing incident in January. Thirty-six-year-old Aaron Tullos is currently free after posting a bond of $11,590 on Monday.

According to the probable cause affidavit, a pair of Marion County deputies were dispatched Jan. 25 to the intersection on U.S. Highway 62B and Marion County Road 7031 on a report of a male having been stabbed in his arm. Dispatch stated the caller accused Tullos of climbing on the hood of the car, smashing the window and attempting to stab her friend.

When law enforcement arrived, the alleged victim stated he pulled in a driveway, and Tullos ran up the hood of the vehicle. The victim says he put the vehicle in reverse to throw Tullos off, and he stopped the vehicle to avoid running over Tullos.

Tullos reportedly went to the driver’s side, broke out the window and yelled about money. Tullos then allegedly attempted to stab the victim with a hunting knife. The victim says he put the vehicle in reverse and backed out of the driveway. He stated the knife cut a small hole in his sweatshirt, but it only scratched his arm.

Tullos was charged with a felony count of aggravated assault and a misdemeanor count of first-degree criminal mischief. According to the jail log, he is also facing a charge of failure to appear.
