Grateful Dead spinoff group Dead & Company to ring out 2019 with four California shows

Courtesy of Dead & CompanyGrateful Dead spinoff group Dead & Company lined up three two-date engagements on the East Coast in November, and now the jam band has announced plans to wind down 2019 with two additional two-night stands on the West Coast.

The new shows, dubbed “Fun Run 2019,” are scheduled for December 27 and 28 at The Forum in the Los Angeles suburb of Inglewood, California, and December 30 and 31 at the Chase Center in the Dead’s hometown of San Francisco.

Dead & Company previously announced series of performances — called the “Fall Fun Run 2019” — taking place October 31 and November 1 at Madison Square Garden in New York City; November 5 and 6 at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale, New York; and November 8 and 9 at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia.

Besides the 2019 U.S. concerts, Dead & Company will be performing at the third annual edition of its Playing in the Sand all-inclusive destination concert and vacation event.

The event, taking place January 16-19, 2020  at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancún, Mexico, will feature three shows from the band.

Dead & Company features Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, along with singer/guitarist John Mayer, ex-Allman Brothers Band bassist Oteil Burbridge and RatDog keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.
