Mountain Home volleyball teams sweep GCT

Mountain Home volleyball teams won all three matches at home Tuesday against Greene County Tech without losing a set.

In the high school match, Mountain Home won by scores of 25-10, 25-18 and 25-16.

Leah Jackson had 42 assists, 10 digs and served four aces; Claudia Carter had 11 kills and four blocks; Charlie Pierce finished with 10 kills; Anna Grace Foreman had nine kills and three blocks; Reanna Dodge finished with nine kills and four blocks; Elaine Blackmon had 19 digs, Grace Beckham had 10 digs and Kylee Sabella finished with eight kills.

The Lady Bombers improve to 12-2 overall and 8-1 in the 5A East. They look to avenge their only conference loss Thursday, when they host Jonesboro for a huge match.

In the J.V. match Tuesday, the Lady Bombers won by scores of 25-10 and 25-18.

Kiah Beard had 24 assists, Kendall Carter had 12 digs, Riley Schmitz finished with 10 digs and Katelyn Hill had seven kills.

Mountain Home won the junior high match 25-23 and 25-15 to move their record to 12-4 overall and 7-2 in conference play.

Carson Schmitz had 15 assists and two aces; Cate Jackson had 10 digs; Lauren Wehmeyer finished with seven kills, two blocks and five digs; Emma Wilbur had seven kills and two blocks and Chloe Lydon collected four kills, five digs and two aces.
