A Mountain Home man, 25-year-old Kyle Vestal, made his initial appearance in Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday on a felony residential burglary charge, as well as a misdemeanor charge of theft of property.Vestal is alleged to have entered the home of a relative, where he took a number of items and traded them for methamphetamine.

According to the probable cause affidavit, Mountain Home Police took a report in early September from a victim reporting the incident at a home along East Eight Street.

The victim reported a missing Play Station 3, a set of headphones and a tablet. The relative also named Vestal as a suspect.

On Sept. 25, Vestal was arrested for unspecified, unrelated charges. During an interview with police, he is alleged to have told them he entered the relative’s home through an unlocked door.

The Mountain Home man allegedly said he stayed for about an hour, shot up methamphetamine, took some pills and stole the missing items.

Vestal reportedly said he was not on speaking terms with his relative and had not been to the residence in several months. His bond was set at $10,000.
