Motorcycle driver ejected in 2-vehicle accident

The driver of a motorcycle was ejected, striking the hood of an SUV in a collision Wednesday afternoon just before 3 in Ozark County.
A report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol indicates 66-year-old Denzil Jennings of Pontiac was the driver of the motorcycle. According to the report, the motorcycle crossed the centerline of State Highway 160 at Gainesville and into oncoming traffic.Jennings’ motorcycle struck an SUV driven by 56-year-old Lonnie Strong of Gainesville.Jennings was transported by air ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield for treatment of what were described as “serious” injuries.

The motorcycle received extensive damage in the crash, with moderate damage reported to the SUV.
