A special event is scheduled for this weekend to benefit a local non-profit organization. The Flippin Fling will be hosted by ABC’s and 123’s Saturday at Hickey Park with activities beginning at 9 a.m. and continuing until 10 p.m.
ABC’s and 123’s is a 501(c)(3) non-profit assisting children and families in need throughout the Twin Lakes Area with clothing, personal items, school supplies and other assistance. The organization also has a program to assist teenagers looking to attend their prom. ABC’s and 123’s began a scholarship program for local students in 2017, and that will continue this year.
The first activity at 9 a.m. is a ragball tournament sponsored by Arvest Bank. More events will begin an hour later. The Ultimate Auto Group will sponsor the ABC’s and 123’s Car Show, and a three-on-three basketball tournament and three-point shootout are sponsored by West Ridge Church.
Live music will get underway in the afternoon. Jim Gossau will serve as the opening act from 2 to 4, 9N will take the stage from 5 to 7, and Burning Daylight will have the final performance from 8 to 10.
Admission to the Flippin Fling is free. Food, craft and business vendors will be available, and a dunking both will also be at Hickey Park. For more information, contact Cristin Jackson at 870-405-8724.
