Rotarian of the Day Mike Stockton introduced Mountain Home Public Schools Athletic Director Mitch Huskey as his guest speaker at a recent meeting of the Rotary Club of Mountain Home.

Huskey, a Mountain Home High School graduate, gave the club a rundown of all the different sports available for students in the MH school district.

Huskey told the club about the eight district and state runner-up titles won this past year in soccer, cross country, bowling, swimming, track, tennis and girls’ golf.

The MH AD said besides winning in the classroom and on the field/courts, their goal as coaches is to teach these young people to “win in life” through character and discipline.

Head football coach, Bryan Mattox, also a MHHS grad, talked about their schedule and the community support they receive for both their academic and athletic endeavors.

The day’s program included the induction of a new member, Scott Booth from Ideal Weight Loss Center.
