Record Store Day Black Friday releases include discs from McCartney, Madonna, Springsteen, Hall & Oates

Courtesy of Record Store DayThe list of releases for 2019’s Record Store Day Black Friday sale has been revealed. Here are a few limited-edition vinyl selections that will be available exclusively in independent record stores on November 29:

Paul McCartney is contributing a seven-inch single featuring “Home Tonight” and “In a Hurry,” previously unreleased tracks recorded during the sessions for his 2018 album, Egypt Station.

Madonna will be releasing a 12-inch disc featuring six remixes of “I Rise,” a song from her latest album, Madame X.

Bruce Springsteen is offering up a seven-inch single boasting two songs from his new studio album, Western Stars: the title track and “The Wayfarer.”

Hall & Oates will issue the first-ever vinyl edition of their 2006 holiday album, Home for Christmas, which will be pressed on translucent red vinyl.

Eric Clapton is also releasing a holiday-themed disc: a seven-inch single featuring “Home for the Holidays” and “For Love on Christmas Day,” two songs from his 2018 yuletide collection, Happy Xmas.

Huey Lewis and the News are releasing a seven-inch single featuring “My Other Woman” and “Got to Get You Off My Mind.”  The former song originally appeared on the group’s 2001 album Plan B; the latter appeared on the band’s 2010 covers album Soulsville.

U2‘s Black Friday contribution is the reissue of the 12-inch single called Three that was originally released in Ireland in 1979. It features the songs “Out of Control,” “Stories for Boys” and “Boy-Girl.”

Other artists releasing vinyl discs for the 2019 Record Store Day Black Friday promotion include Chuck Berry, James Brown, Jackson Browne, Cheap Trick, The Doors, Aretha Franklin, The Kinks, The Monkees, Elvis Presley, The Pretenders, Todd Rundgren and Steppenwolf.
