The first day of the Simmons Bank Big Bass Bonanza is in the books on the Arkansas River.
Glenn Neal boated the day’s biggest bass around 8 a.m. at 6.15 pounds. Neal weighed in at Pool 5 in Dumas.
Among the other pool leaders, Robinette Fox caught a 5.43-pound bass in Pool 2 at Lake Dardanelle, Kelly Glover ended up with a 5.28-pound fish in Pool 3 at Pine Bluff, Dennis Rogers leads Pool 1 at Fort Smith with a 5.14-pound bass, and the Pool 3 leader in North Little Rock is Brian Freyaldenhoven with a 4.83-pound fish.
The tournament continues through Sunday. The grand prize for the biggest bass is $50,000.
