The Bombers had a second half lead for the first time this season, but Jacksonville scored 22 unanswered points to pick up the 22-7 win.

It was pretty much all Mountain Home for most of the first half. The Bombers scored the game’s first touchdown, after a failed fourth down attempt by the Titans at their own 15-yard line. Brock Bogy punched it in from 1 yard out to give the Bombers a 7-0 lead early in the second quarter.

Mountain Home held the Titans to 30 yards of total offense on their first four possessions, but the Titans put together a drive in the final two minutes of the half. Although they didn’t score, they marched 76 yards to build momentum for the second half.

Jacksonville picked up where they left off with the opening possession of the second half, driving 81 yards in nine plays to take the lead 8-7 on a 4-yard touchdown run by Devin Fordson and two-point conversion.

The Titans would add a pair of fourth-quarter scores. Buck Cobbs hooked up with Jason Bobo on a 6-yard pass, and he later hit Diontae Bilbrew with a 17-yard scoring strike.

Jacksonville finished with 312 yards of offense, while Mountain Home had 154.

The Titans improve to 2-4 overall and 1-2 in the 6A East Conference.

Mountain Home falls to 0-6 and 0-3. The Bombers host Marion next Friday night for homecoming.
