The summer Home Energy Assistance Program (HEAP) to assist low-income households through Ozark Opportunities, Inc has ended. The program’s goal is to help households cope with the high cost of electricity or fuel used for cooling homes. It offers a one-time assistance payment per program year.
OOI officials says the Winter Energy Assistance Program will open to the public in January.
