WARREN, Ark. (AP) – Authorities in southern Arkansas say one person is dead after a gunfight with an Arkansas State Police trooper.

State Police spokesman Bill Sadler said Thursday the shooting occurred
during a traffic stop on a road in Bradley County near Warren, about 79 miles (127 kilometers) south of Little Rock.

The suspect’s name, age and other details weren’t immediately known, and the trooper involved also wasn’t immediately identified.

Sadler declined to discuss details of the shooting, including reports the
suspect was the focus of a manhunt and that authorities are looking for another suspect related to the shooting.

Sadler says more details will be released when investigators have documented their initial findings.
