Lady Bombers finish volleyball regular season with win

The Mountain Home Lady Bombers volleyball team wrapped up the regular season with an exciting 3-2 win at Marion Thursday night. Mountain Home won by scores of 25-18, 25-21, 23-25, 20-25 and 15-10.

Leah Jackson had a big night with 57 assists, Charlie Pierce had 21 kills and six blocks, Claudia Carter finished with 15 kills and eight blocks, Kylee Sabella had 11 kills, Anna Grace Foreman collected nine kills and five blocks, Reanna Dodge had six kills and three blocks and Elaine Blackmon had 23 digs.

The Lady Bombers finish the regular season with a record of 15-4 overall and second place in the 5A East with a 12-2 record. The will open play in the Class 5A State Tournament at Hot Springs October 29th at 3:00 against Russellville, who is the number 3 seed from the 5A West.

Mountain Home won the abbreviated J.V. match 25-19.

Kiah Beard had 10 assists, Georgia Burnham finished with four kills, Tatum Smith had three kills and four blocks and Riley Schmitz had 10 digs.

In the junior high match, Mountain Home defeated Marion 25-19 and 25-9.

Carson Schmitz had 14 assists, Lauren Wehmeyer and Emma Wilber each had five kills, Presley Jones had four kills and Cate Jackson finished with 11 digs.

The Junior Lady Bombers finish the regular season with a 13-3 record and earned the number 2 seed for the district tournament. Mountain Home plays Marion again in the first round Saturday at noon in West Memphis.
