The expansion of the North Arkansas Electric Cooperative office in Mountain Home and the demolition of an apartment complex on College Street were among the building permits issued in September in Mountain Home.

According to a report from Jeannie Anderson in the City of Mountain Home’s Building Inspection Department, a permit was issued to Gregory Company Inc. for a 6,633-square-foot addition to the NAEC office, located at 1520 U.S. Highway 62 East. The construction value of the project is almost $1.2 million.

NAEC CEO Mel Coleman says the cooperative has room to expand its facilities thanks to the purchase of a sizable amount of property decades ago.
