Two females were injured after falling from an embankment early Sunday evening in Taney County. According to KOLR, the females, ages 36 and 16, are recovering at a hospital. Their names were not released.

A spokesperson from the Central Taney County Fire Protection District says the females were sight-seeing around 5 p.m. at the scenic overlook on Missouri Route Y in Forsyth. They reportedly went beyond the guardrail, approximately 350 feet from the water’s edge. Water rescue personnel assisted to bring them both to safety.

The teen was transported to the hospital by ambulance, and the 36-year-old woman was transported by helicopter in moderate condition.
