ABC/Randy HolmesSantana has announced the first dates of a global trek that will launch next year dubbed the Miraculous 2020 World Tour. The confirmed shows include a string of European concerts that kick off March 13 in Bologna, Italy, and are mapped out through an April 5 performance in Helsinki, Finland.

The tour will see the legendary band continuing to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its smash 1999 comeback album Supernatural while also marking the 50th anniversary of the group’s classic second album, 1970’s Abraxas.

Besides showcasing songs from the two aforementioned albums, the 2020 Santana concerts will include tunes from throughout the band’s 50-year career, as well as featuring what guitarist Carlos Santana calls “the new hymns and songs of tomorrow.”

In addition, the Rock & Roll Hall of famers will be playing material from Santana’s 2019 studio effort, Africa Speaks, which was produced by acclaimed producer Rick Rubin and featured lead vocals by the award-winning Spanish singer Buika.

“When you come to a Santana concert, the miraculous happens. Miraculous means, transforming darkness into delight,” Carlos says with regard to the 2020 trek. “I feel like a 20-year-old on stage playing with this band, and they deliver high energy on every song.”

Leading up to the Miraculous 2020 tour, Santana has 16 concerts scheduled at the House of Blues in Las Vegas between now and early February as part of the group’s ongoing residency there. They’ll also be playing a concert at San Francisco’s Chase Center on November 12.

In other news, Carlos has contributed his guitar talents to a new single called “Mamacita” by rapper/singer Tyga, which also features rapper YG. Carlos also appears in the video for the tune, which you can watch at Tyga’s official YouTube channel.
