Evil Teen RecordsWith the lineup of Warren Haynes‘ Christmas Jam 2019 set to be announced next week, the Gov’t Mule frontman and ex-Allman Brothers Band guitarist has announced a new live album and film documenting the 2014 edition of the benefit show.
Warren Haynes Presents: The Benefit Concert Volume 16 will be released on December 13, as a CD/DVD package, a standard CD, a two-LP vinyl set, a Blu-ray and digital album and video.
Christmas Jam 2014, which was held in Asheville, North Carolina, featured the debut performance of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann‘s Billy & the Kids side group. The show also boasted sets by Gov’t Mule; Paul Riddle & Friends, led by Marshall Tucker Band‘s original drummer; roots rockers Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit; and Hard Working Americans, featuring Todd Snider, Neal Casal and members of Widespread Panic.
There were also guest appearances by ex-Allman Brothers members Jack Pearson and Oteil Burbridge, former Black Crowes guitarist Audley Freed; Col. Bruce Hampton; one-time American Idol winner Caleb Johnson, and more.
The concert featured a variety of onstage collaborations, and included covers of classic songs by The Grateful Dead, The Band, Neil Young, Marshall Tucker Band and Faces.
