“She’d had enough and ended [their engagement],” says the insider, adding, “She has no regrets.”
The When Harry Met Sally star first sparked breakup rumors when she was spotted out in Los Angeles, minus her engagement ring, according to the entertainment magazine.
Ryan, 57, announced her engagement to the 68-year-old rocker in November 2018, after dating on and off again for seven years.
Ryan was previously married to actor Dennis Quaid from 1991-2001 with whom she shares a son.
Mellencamp has been married three times: to Priscilla Esterline from 1970-1981, Victoria Granucci from 1981-1989 and Elaine Irwin from 1992-2011. He has five children, including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp.
