Fantasy RecordsIt may be only the first day of November, but Steve Perry is already embracing the holiday season with open arms. The former Journey frontman has released a cover of the Christmas classic “Silver Bells” as a digital single and via streaming services.
“The holidays are certainly a wonderful time of the year filled with many emotions,” Perry writes in a post on his Instagram page. “I’m very happy to share with you one of my favorite holiday songs, ‘Silver Bells’ done with my love for R&B mixed in…I hope it brings a smile to you and yours in this holiday season!”
Two versions of the track are available — a three-and-a-half-minute single edit and a full-length five-minute track. Perry also has released a newly mixed version of his 2018 holiday single, “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” which originally came out in December of last year not long after the arrival of his first solo album in 24 years, Traces.
