Local veterans are set to be honored in Calico Rock. A special ceremony is scheduled for Friday at 9 a.m. in the Calico Rock Elementary School auditorium, to be followed by a reception in the cafeteria.
All service men and women, past and present, are invited. A wall of honor will be included to recognize those who sign in upon arrival.
Honor slips can be picked up at the Calico Rock Elementary and High School offices. The honor slips can be filled out with the name of a veteran, his or her branch of military, years of service and local friends and family. Honor slips must be turned in by Tuesday.
