Ten forgery charges and one theft of property count have been filed against a Marion County woman who has two additional open cases involving seven other felony offenses.

According to the latest probable cause affidavit, the felony forgery and theft charges have been filed against 38-year-old Gina Marie Mikesell of Yellville. The charges are in connection with a string of forged checks written to businesses in Baxter and Marion counties and at least one Mikesell allegedly wrote and cashed to herself.

The investigation into the forged checks began in late July and continued into late August. In late August an investigator with the Marion County Sheriff’s Office sat down with Mikesell in the county jail, where she was an inmate. However, Mikesell reportedly declined to talk about the forgery incidents.

Bond on the 11 felony counts is set at $25,000.

Online court records also reflect Mikesell appearing in Marion County Circuit Court where she entered a not guilty plea to three counts of delivery of meth cocaine and three counts of unlawful use of a communication device, as well as two violations of proximity enhanced penalty charges.

The charges stem from alleged controlled buys of illegal drugs in April and May. Bond in this case is set at $10,000.

In a third case, Mikesell is charged with one felony count of forgery involving a check reportedly passed at a Marion County grocery store. The Marion County woman has also entered a not guilty plea in this case in circuit court. Bond is set at $5,000.
