The former Beatles drummer and his All Starr Band will hit the road again in 2020 for a North American tour that begins with a May 29-30 stand in Rama, Canada, and runs through a June 28 show in Clearwater, Florida.

In addition to the tour-kickoff concerts, the trek includes a few other multiple-show engagements — a three-night mini-residency at New York City’s Beacon Theatre on June 2, 3 and 5, plus June 16-17 and June 23-24 stands, respectively, in Baltimore and Atlanta.

Roots rockers The Avett Brothers will be the opening act at three concerts in New England, while All Starr Band alum Edgar Winter will serve as the support act on a June 26 show in St. Augustine, Florida, and at the aforementioned Clearwater gig.

The current version of the All Starr Band features ex-Santana and Journey singer/keyboardist Gregg Rolie, Toto guitarist Steve Lukather, Men at Work frontman Colin Hay and former Average White Band guitarist/bassist Hamish Stuart, as well as sax player/percussionist Warren Ham and drummer Gregg Bissonette.

The tour announcement comes just over a week after the release of Ringo’s new studio album, What’s My Name, which features contributions Paul McCartney, Joe Walsh, Lukather and many others.

In other news, Starr and his wife, Barbara Bach, were at the Beverly Garden Park in Beverly Hills, California, on Saturday for the dedication ceremony for Ringo’s “Peace and Love” sculpture, which is now on permanent display at the park. The eight-foot-tall, stainless-steel sculpture depicts Starr’s hand giving the famous peace sign. Beverly Hills mayor John Mirisch hosted the ceremony.
