8 file for judicial seats in North Central Arkansas

Four candidates for circuit judge seats in District 14 are among the latest filings with the Arkansas Secretary of State.
Online filing information indicates Johnnie Copeland of Mountain Home has filed for the District 14, Division 4 seat now held by Judge Gordon Webb of Harrison. Judge Webb has indicated he will not be seeking reelection.

Three judicial incumbents have filed for reelection. Circuit Judge Andrew Bailey of Mountain Home has filed for District 14, Division 1; Judge Deanna “Suzie” Layton of Yellville has filed for District 14, Division 2; and Judge John Putman of Harrison has filed for District 14, Division 3.

The 14th Judicial District covers Baxter, Marion, Boone and Newton counties.

Four incumbents have filed for judicial positions in District 16. Judge Holly Myer of Heber Springs has filed for Division 1; Judge Don McSpadden of Batesville for Division 2; Circuit Judge Lee Wisdom Harrod of Heber Springs for Division 3; and Circuit Judge Tim Weaver of Melbourne for District 4.

The 16th Judicial District covers Fulton, Izard, Stone, Cleburne and Independence counties.
